ANDALUSIAN WINES AT VINOBLE 2008 
As at every event, wines from Andalusia will repeat their commitment to the International Noble Wines Exhibition. Faithful to this commitment, the fortified wines of the Condado de Huelva, the Pedro Ximénez from Montilla-Moriles, muscatels from Malaga and, of course, a full representation of Jerez sherry wines will be in Jerez de la Frontera next May.

The red wine “Picea 650”, from the Riojan Family Winery “Viñedos del Ternero”, has achieved one of the 15 Diamond awards (first prize) given by "Aula Abierta del Vino", Business Institute, in its first contest “Wine and Woman”.

The winery has selected 6 millésimes for a vertical tasting and for food and wine combinations.
The legend is returning to the International Noble Wines Exhibition. Once again, as in the 2004 and 2006 events, Château d'Yquem, the most famous of the botrytis wines, will be the star of a vertical tasting at Vinoble's Arab mosque. Grapes on their optimum degree of maturity are spread out on mats to dry in the sun until they become raisins. When pressed, they deliver are intensely rich must to which grape alcohol is added to prevent fermentation and loss of sweetness. The “Solera System” for this wine was started in 1927.

The sixth International Noble Wines Exhibition was introduced at Athens's Museum of Cyclades Arts on 12 February. The Exhibition will be held in Jerez de la Frontera (Cadiz, Spain) from 25 to 28 May. Greece, the birthplace of the first sweet wines, will be the guest country at Vinoble 2008.
